Bambang Sulistyo Lecturer at D3 Automotive Engineering FT UNY

Ir. Bambang Sulistyo, S.Pd., M.Eng, one of the Lecturers of D3 Automotive Engineering, FT UNY, participated in a research collaboration abroad in 2017. This research was funded by the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. This overseas collaborative research collaborates with the Technische Universität Dresden and intends to carry out benchmarking in the preparation of vocational education curricula, especially those related to Occupational Health and Safety.

Germany is a country that is considered the most successful country in implementing vocational education, so that this country is the goal of this research. The research sites are several vocational schools in Dresden, Germany, with several teachers being respondents. This study also carried out direct observation during the learning process and interviews with several students.

The results of this study are expected to enrich the material that will be used to compile the curriculum in vocational education in Indonesia. This research collaboration is one of the concrete forms of cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University and the Technische Universität Dresden which has been around for a long time.
