Learning Outcomes

Bachelor of Applied Science in Automotive Engineering UNY formulated the programme learning outcomes (PLO) based on government policy, vision and mission of the university and degree programme, and feedback from stakeholders. In general, the PLOs  cover domains: attitude, knowledge, specific skills, and generic skills which are specified as follows:

ATTITUDE
a. Being devoted to God and showing religious attitudes;
b. Upholding human values ​​in carrying out duties based on religion, morals and ethics;
c. Internalizing academic values, norms, and ethics;
d. Acting as citizens who are proud and love the country, having nationalism and a sense of responsibility to the state and nation;
e. Respecting the diversity of cultures, views, religions and beliefs, as well as the original opinions or findings of others;
f. Contributing to the improvement of the quality of life in society, nation, state, and the advancement of civilization based on Pancasila;
g. Working together and having social sensitivity and care for the community and the environment;
h. Obeying the law and discipline in public and state life;
i. Internalizing the spirit of independence, struggle and entrepreneurship;
j. Showing a responsible attitude towards work in the automotive sector .

KNOWLEDGE
a. Mastering knowledge and skills and basic principles of automotive technology development.
b. Mastering knowledge of automotive technology, theory and practice which includes: light vehicles, heavy equipment, body design and repair, and motorbikes.
c. Having the ability to plan and carry out automotive assembly, repair and maintenance.
d. Having the ability to modify the automotive sector.
e. Having the ability to manage the facilities and infrastructure for workshop and laboratory practices.

SPECIAL SKILLS
a. Able to carry out evaluating automotive construction.
b. Able to design and carry out automotive repair and maintenance.
c. Able to manage automotive workshops and laboratories.
d. Able to apply and develop automotive technology, maintain, repair, and modify motorized vehicles.

GENERAL SKILLS
a. Applying logical, critical, systematic, and innovative thinking in the context of developing or implementing automotive science and / or technology,
b. Examining the implications of developing or implementing science, automotive technology based on scientific principles, procedures and scientific ethics to produce solutions, ideas, designs, and compile scientific descriptions of the results of studies in the form of a final project report;
c. Make the right decisions in the context of solving problems in the automotive sector, based on the analysis results of information and data;
d. Managing automotive workshops and laboratories in groups and / or individual.
e. Developing and maintaining a network with mentors, colleagues, colleagues both inside and outside the institution
